Inspiring Career Journey: Mary Murigi

From a passionate hospitality student to an international professional, Mary Murigi’s journey is a shining example of how dedication, training, and opportunity come together for success.

After earning a strong foundation in Hospitality Studies at Thika Institute of Business Studies (TIBS College) between 2015 and 2016, Mary began her professional path through TIBS College’s industrial attachment program—a gateway that connected her to Severin Sea Lodge, Mombasa. Her commitment and excellence during her internships in 2016 and 2017 earned her a full-time position, where she worked from February 2018 to October 2024, gaining invaluable skills and experience.

Today, Mary is proudly advancing her career at Denis Private Island in Seychelles—a world-class, eco-friendly luxury retreat known for its sustainability and conservation efforts—where she has been working since November 2024.

Mary credits much of her success to the quality education, practical exposure, and vast professional network provided by TIBS College, which continues to connect students with rewarding career opportunities even after graduation.
